New Year’s Resolution: Stay On Top Of My Oral Health
Happy 2022! We hope that you had a wonderful holiday season with family and friends, doing what you love or what brings you joy. The start of a new year is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the state of your oral health. We know the past few years have been challenging and it may have been difficult to schedule and attend your appointment. If upon reflection you realize it has been quite some time since your last hygiene examination and cleaning, we recommend scheduling an appointment today. Being proactive with your oral health can eliminate painful emergencies and the need for costly treatments. Read on to learn about the importance of routine oral care.
Schedule an Appointment Today
We encourage all of our patients to visit our office every six months for a routine hygiene examination and cleaning. One exception would be for patients with certain conditions who need to be seen more frequently, like every four months. During these examinations, we do more than just clean your teeth. We also inspect for signs of decay and check for serious conditions such as gum disease and oral cancer.
Avoid Emergencies
We encourage patients to be proactive with their oral health. During an examination, we may see signs of decay that need to be treated. When hygiene examinations are delayed or treatment recommendations are postponed, it can lead to serious complications. Unfortunately, dental decay and other oral health issues do not heal over time. In fact, they can become severe rather quickly. When your oral health is ignored, dental emergencies can occur, leading to unexpected treatments, discomfort, and added costs. We want our patients to enjoy life free from worry over the condition of their oral health.
If you have not visited our office in quite some time, we encourage you to schedule an appointment today. We also hope you will encourage your loved ones to make an appointment as well. If a loved one is in need of a new dental home, be sure to send them our information. We love to welcome new faces to our practice. We hope you have a wonderful 2022 and we look forward to seeing you at our office located in St. Paul, MN soon!
